Successful Field Season for Ariella

In August 2026, Dachuan “Frank” Wang (/author/dachuan-wang) attended the BSA Botany Conference in Tucson, Arizona. During this conference, he made a 15-minute presentation on his current work about “Adaptation of Mimulus cardinalis to Drought Through Changes in Stomatal Conductance.” This talk covered both the research content and the conclusions drawn from it. He received considerable positive feedback, particularly questions regarding my research model and methodology.

In September 2026, he also attended the 2026 Sino-American Conference on New Horizons in Plant Science in Tai’an City, Shandong Province, China. He made a 20-minute presentation at the session themed “Plant Science for a Green Planet in A Changing World.” This talk was like the one he gave at the BSA conference, but he added some of his future work plans. He received a lot of feedback at this conference, and he also heard many other interesting research presentations, which greatly broadened his horizons. Also, his family’s visit was a pleasant surprise.
